1. solid board

Varieties, mainly red oak, ash, rubber wood, walnut, elm and so on. The advantage is more environmentally friendly, good quality, the disadvantage is a word: expensive. It is often used to make cabinets and doors, which are easy to crack and deform after a long time. (Solid boards are not necessarily logs, logs are a whole piece of wood, solid boards are generally wood or wood processing)

2. paint-free board

Also called large core board and blockboard, it is glued out with wood blocks or strips, and the side view is the cross section of wood. Due to its own characteristics can not do too long cabinet door, easy deformation. The advantage is that the surface is smooth, easy to process, carpentry can play. The disadvantage is easy to deform, soft texture, poor nail holding force, edge sealing easy to collapse. It is often used to make cabinets, and it is not recommended to make cabinet doors. 3. multi-layer board

Also known as plywood, as the name implies, it is a board bonded with glue and bonded with multiple layers of boards. It is somewhat similar to paint-free board, but it uses more glue and looks a bit like wafer biscuits on the side. The advantage is good moistureproof, high strength, good bearing capacity. The disadvantage is high glue content, easy deformation. Commonly used to do cabinet, not suitable for cabinet door. 4. density board

Also known as MDF, it is bonded with wood fiber or other plant fibers. The higher the density, the better the quality. The advantage is that it can be modeled and flatness is good. The disadvantage is that the strength is low, the moisture resistance is poor, easy to absorb water expansion. Commonly used to make cabinet doors, not suitable for cabinet. (The door with shape can only use density board or log)

5. Oslon board

The inside of the Osu board is very similar to the particle board, but the substrate inside will be larger than the particle board and looks like a sheet. The advantage is that the material is uniform and the nail grip is good. The disadvantage is that a good Osu board is usually more expensive and is often used to make cabinets and doors. (often do modern style cabinet door)

6. particle board

Also called particleboard, as the name implies, wood particles are glued together. This kind of board is widely used on the market and its properties are relatively uniform. The advantages are low price, aging resistance and uniform performance. The disadvantages are that it cannot be modeled and the edge of the plate is easy to absorb water and deform. It is commonly used to make cabinets and doors. (Particle board is not necessarily environmentally friendly, although more glue is used, but the environmental protection level of good technology is also very high)
